Photo A Day: 5 PM
Day 6 of "March Photo A Day Challenge" : 5 PM
Oops! The topic said "5 PM", but I saw it only after 6 PM, when I got free from work! :-(
Can't turn time back now, can I?
And if it hadn't specifically been a *photography* challenge, I could have written a short story with the title "5 PM".
But since I can't do that either, I'm modifying today's topic to "5:XX PM", and posting some photographs I clicked on 19th January, 2012, from my balcony, between 5:40 to 5:50 PM.
I clicked more than just these 3 pictures... quite a few more... because it was really difficult getting a flying pigeon within the frame. (They were so fast!) But, these 3 are the only shots in which my fingers could match the speed of those birds!
I actually managed to get a whole flock of pigeons in that third picture. They're very distant though. So you'll need to click on the image to see a larger view.
Actually, pigeons inhabit this area (this whole town rather!) in such large numbers that I've captured many more pictures of them... just from my balcony so far. I will post them here as soon as I can.

Lovely picture...twilight and the setting sun with birds silhouetted against the horizon are generally some of my favourite photos.
Yes Shilpa, that's from my balcony here! :D There's practically nothing around for acres, except this one tall building right next to ours. And my room faces the west, so I get to see such beautiful sunsets every day!
Psych Babbler, they're my favorite too. I really love those fiery shades. Gives the impression of a beautiful painting!
