Day 21 of "March Photo A Day Challenge" : Delicious
Yummy gajar ka halwa... with tea and papad!
I made it yesterday evening for Dad and me. Hence, two of everything in the picture above :)
This is my 21st post for NaBloPoMo March 2012.

Yummyyyy!
It was!
Papad and Halwa is hardly a combination,at least in Punjab
Hahahaha! And we ALWAYS have papad with halwa... be it gajar ka or sooji ka or aate ka. Without papad, it doesn't feel like the treat is complete! :P :P :P But this may be a peculiarity confined to my family... I don't know for sure.
Your table cloth looks like the remnants of the 'weather balloon' that crashed in roswell, NM, 1947.
Hahahaha! It's not really a table cloth. It's just a sheet, made of plastic or something, that we use when we eat on the bed/diwaan, so we don't spoil the mattress if we accidentally spill something.
I'm all for funky food combinations. Halwa+paapad is new.
Really? Well I've always eaten halwa with papad at home... in all my 34 years of life so far.
Is it a Rajasthani thing? Or a UP thing? Or a Kaddu ispecial?
I'd say "Kaddu's family ispecial" ;-)
Like the aloo jhol? :-)
:D I suppose so
